I had a great meeting wtih fellow entrepreneur friends the past week, and one of them was a pastor. While we were talking about how lot of Christians are bought into the consumerism of the world, is very disturbing. Often on Sunday, we drive out, park at church, walk in, grab coffee and then ‘movie’ starts, then chat for a bit and leave. Rest of the week we are no different from non believers.
Jesus said to lay your self down and carry your own cross. This pastor said, would you be willing to go to the guillotine for Christ? The divorce rates at churches are close to over 50-60%, if we aren’t even willing to lay ourselves down to keep His commands, will we really be willing to die for Christ?
I know this is not a one time deal, but rather an every day and every moment decision to keep on surrendering. Will I be jumping and dancing in joy on my way to the guillotine?
