Been working on figuring out my company’s brand message. Who we are really and what we stood for. It’s been an interesting process as it gives me personally a clearer message of what we should focus on doing and not doing. Having a clear message that resonates with meaningful values also resonates with the soul of people as well as stirs up passion towards it.
Then I thought…
Do Churches think about its brand message? I mean the big-C Church.
Seems like the perception from the ‘outside’ world is that churches are seen to be everything that its against, churches are perceived to be boring, irrelevant, unrealistic, anti-homosexual, antiabortion, judgmental etc. Why is it that people see church as an institution with bunch of angry people not happy with everything, and yet not be perceived as everything that churches are for?
People probably have better perception of Jesus.
Perhaps it’s not just a perception, perhaps it’s the reality. Perhaps both. But something gotta change.
