Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
My mind is a constant battlefield. Living in north america, we may not come across physical attacks but the scheme moves onto the thoughts, doubts, enticement from comfort and materialism. But see, churches don’t talk about this very often. I’ve heard so many believers carrying words around their mouth like ‘I am just worried if this doesn’t go the way it should be’ or ‘I am afraid, I don’t think I am good enough’.
I, myself, included. Very often I will be in meetings and then I have questions that I have no answers to. Yet, right then, I get these thoughts or voices in my head ‘Ha, they are gonna think you are a dumbass’ or ‘You don’t even know answers to these questions, why are you even doing this?’. With those, the feeling of defeat sweeps right over my body. Then, everything about us changes, we begin to believe those lies, we begin to respond in lack of confidence etc.
Stop right there!
Really? I’d catch myself few thoughts later that, wait a minute, those weren’t thoughts from the Lord. They are the devil’s schemes and I just bought it. No!
We have truth in the written Word to use as a sword. We have the whole armor. We can claim victory!
If you still thinks that spiritual attacks only happens when you go on a mission trip to some 3rd world country, you are opening yourself up for a surprise. Pay attention to your thoughts.
Joshua 1:9
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
It’s not I will be courageous when I achieve this, or when I have gotten this. It’s that we can be brave, strong, courageous and confident NOW because victory is ours to claim. Will you live a victorious life?

Faith is a shield wether it’s in the truth or a lie. If you have faith in the truth, (which is a person) than the fire darts of lies deflect off, but if we believe a lie or lies the truth bounces off as well. That’s why Jesus said, “be careful how you hear”, not what you hear. Faith cometh by hearing. Ever try to talkto someone and they comletely blow you off, (like a Pharisee).
Real Faith has substance and is evidenced when the circumstances that come our way, designed to strip away our false identity, (what we are is what we do or what we have), rveals wether our life is hid hid in Christ or not.
Without Faith (not just booblehead agree-ism) it is IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE God. Ray
