Faith and Believe

Friend of mine sent this to me: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. – 2 Timothy 4:7

It was so cool because the daily devotional topic was on faith as well.  Also, I catch myself lately with lots of unbeliefs.  Doubts.  It was very fitting that the above verse came to me as I am realizing the weight of wavering faith and unbelieving spirit from time to time that tosses me around like the waves in the storming sea.  Sometimes faith calls us to go up the mountain, sometimes it’s the mountain top, sometimes it’s the downward trip and yet sometimes it’s being ‘still’.

Keep your eyes on the prize.

Also fitting is that I am happy to cross out another item from my Life To-do List.

This is me right after the run…

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Do not conform to this world

Romans 12:2

2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

How do we know if we are any longer conforming to the pattern of this world? What do we use to test?

Will this be a good test?

If a non-believer sees everything you do, the decisions you make, the priorities, the values and the thoughts you associate yourself with, and if all that makes perfect sense to them.  Is that a good indication?
